Chapter 7: Listen to Your Healthy Heart
Page: 4/5

Your Healthy Self can Come Alive
When we listen to the voice of our healthy heart, we will be supplied with wisdom far surpassing the mountains of knowledge we have so painstakingly accumulated, even at the cost of our sleep. The absolute wisdom of our healthy heart holds information from every field imaginable: be it politics, religion, medicine, education, sports or whatever else, our true selves hold all the intelligence that human beings need. How sad it is that no one listens to this infinitely deep, inner wisdom! No one cares about it. There is not even one person who is truly conscious of the infinite, divine love shining within them. There is no one who has fully awakened to the brilliance of the absolute forgiveness radiating from their true Self. Yet even so, the bright vibrations of the true Self continue to surge forth, never pausing for an instant.
The voices of your surface mind and the voices of your subconscious are the voices of desire. Never catch at them. Never think that they come from your true Self.
That was your mistake, wasn’t it? You mistook the voice of greed for the voice of truth. Since then, there has been no end to your suffering, no easing of your sorrow, no cure for your malady. Will you go on this way forever, living like a puppet to your subconscious cravings—even while your healthy heart keeps calling to you and enfolding you with unlimited forgiveness?
Once you attune yourself to your healthy heart, you will notice things you have never noticed before. Problems that always overwhelmed you, however hard you wrestled with them, will suddenly be resolved by your healthy heart. The voice of your healthy heart brings you marvellous ideas that can be realized in an instant.
Since it resonates straight from the universal laws of harmony, your healthy heart can transform your present way of living. An ailing heart can only create an ailing lifestyle, but a healthy heart gives birth to a healthy life and a healthy world. A healthy life reflects the intention of the divine, just as it is. It brings our original, divine image, undistorted, into this earthly world.
Until now, you have been concerned only about what others could give you. This is only natural for an ailing heart. You have desired love, gratitude and forgiveness from your husband, your wife or your children. You have desired praise and respect from others. This is what the voice of your subconscious has been calling for. Those desires have manifested themselves in your words and your behaviour. From now on, though, you will sense a totally different resonance coming from your healthy heart.
You will feel like forgiving the person who seemed so hateful to you. The pleasure you took in other people’s ill luck will fade and disappear. You will discover that you are turning into someone who can pray for other people’s happiness with all your heart. Where you used only to seek love from others, you will now find a yearning to love others blossoming within you.
Until now, the negative side of you and others has always captured your attention. As this old habit disappears, you will find yourself noticing people’s good side. Their luminous qualities will leap into view, and you will be able to discern perfection in them.
As you carefully listen to your healthy heart, your innately healthy self will come alive again. Even if illness should visit your body, you will naturally become aware of the way to heal it.

Give Thanks to Your Body
Sit up straight, clear your mind, and pray for the happiness of mankind. Intently turn your thoughts toward the infinite: infinite love, infinite harmony, infinite potential and infinite life. Offer your appreciation to everything in nature that sustains your life: the sea, the earth, the mountains, food, water, plant life, animals, minerals, the air, the sun and all heavenly phenomena. Deeply reflect on your inner truth—your divinity.
Finally, give thanks to each part of your physical body. Offer your heartfelt gratitude to your heart, your blood and all bodily functions. Give thanks to your internal and external organs, and to each cell of your body. Apply the palms of your hands to areas that are now sick, while sending them deep thankfulness.
As you do this, you may find that worry and fear keep pouring out of your heart. Even so, you should continue to praise and thank your body. You must closely question yourself to see which will be the winner: the voice of your subconscious or the voice of your healthy heart.
You must give the victory to your healthy heart. If you let yourself be defeated by the voice of your subconscious, you will never understand the meaning of your illness.
The contents of your subconscious are nothing more than the lingering vibrations of your past thoughts and actions. Once a portion of it has come out and vanished, it will not return to you. As a result, things will surely improve. What you must do is to let those subconscious recordings disappear as quickly as possible. Never let your heart be shackled by the illness that is revealing itself now, at the moment of fading away. Do not attach yourself to it or fear it. Let go of it, ever so naturally.
However relentless the pain, however severe the anguish, do not let it conquer your heart. Your pain and your anguish are, themselves, the very evidence that your past errors are trying to erase themselves. If not through the pain, they would have no means of leaving you. Be grateful that they are clearing themselves out of your system. Be truly thankful for this opportunity to compensate for the debts you incurred in past worlds. Keep filling your thoughts with hope and gratitude to your body.
When you do this, it would be fine if you could scrupulously thank each organ and function one by one. At times, though, you might easily forget some of them. So as to have no cause for regret, you can simply think and pray: Thank you, each cell that composes my physical body.
This is similar to what we do when we think and pray: May Peace Prevail on Earth. This spirit of prayer encompasses you yourself, and also your beloved family, friends, acquaintances, and the whole of mankind. In the same way, when you thank all your body cells at one time, you are thanking each and every one of your internal systems and all your physical structures—since all of them are made up of your body cells.
